Prison Break TV Show - Wentworth Miller and 70s hair

Here's some studies of a few 70s hairstyles for a new project our studio is doing

And this is a sketch I did yesterday morning as I was drinking my morning coffee and thinking about one of my favorite shows "Prison Break"! Jeez it was exciting yesterday. Btw, Heroes was awesome too! Based off a photo I found on the net. It's a bit loose but it ended up being a nice warm up before I got down to work.

WIP-Sea Dragon for SPECTRUM 14 and Expose5

This is a wip of my entry for SPECTRUM 14 and EXPOSE 5. I wanted to paint something with a dragon--something mysterious and fantastical.

It all started from an image I saw in my head just before going to bed. I just had to sketch it quickly before sleep..

As a kid, I've always been fasinated by adventure stories and films--especially the ones that take place undersea. And so I pictured my diver discovering something enormus in the black abyss..

Here are some sketches of what I pictured the sea dragon may look like..

One of my quick colored sketches..

Pencil Sketch

I thought I'd post up this sketch I did yesterday. I did an earlier version a couple days before while teaching life drawing classes at Sheridan College but I wasn't too pleased with it. I kind of like how this version turned out though.
Redrawing old drawings are a common practice for me. For big projects I'll anticipate doing the same painting 3 times before coming up with a final piece. It's a great way to get out your absolute potential!

Absent on the subway and Pic of the week

Hi everyone,

To all those that came out subway sketching yesterday, I'm sorry I couldn't make it. I came down with a nasty flu yesterday morning and needed to stay home to get better.

Good thing was that I was able to stay home to doodle a new pic of the week.

Stay tuned for a new video podcast as well! I plan on doing one tonight or tomorrow. Lots of things to talk about!
